This project we are assigned to construct and direct a 3-5 minute interview about any topic we desire. We started out by practicing filming around school, interviewing our peers to work on our skills, and becoming more comfortable directing the camera. Next, our whole class worked on one interview between the teacher, and a student. Each of us were assigned a different job, as I was the location scouter. We all worked as one to help make this interview, which helped us practice our skills and what specific details to remember when we are doing our own. By completing many practice interviews, we learned many different techniques. For example, I learned to keep the subject in one third of the frame, with the light facing the subject. Additionally, zooming in close to their face is important, as well as asserting the microphone correctly.
