The video scavenger hunt helped me improve my skills as a videographer because I got to practice several different techniques to make my shots better. Specifically, I tried to incorporate Mr. Goble's comments and critiques about our previous footage, and apply them to this scavenger hunt. I tried to not place the subject of the shot in the center, but instead use rule of thirds when shooting, and also lining up the camera with a straight edge to make sure it is not crooked. I enjoyed this project because I got to talk to some teachers and staff I haven't met before, including the police officer. Also, I liked when we went into different classrooms to shoot the action going on because I enjoyed seeing my friends and teachers. The only aspect of this video scavenger hunt that didn't really appeal to me was when my partner and I had to shoot the construction site outside. This was difficult because it was freezing, and the winds were blowing hard. Nevertheless, this scavenger help me grow as a videographer, and improve my skills and knowledge.
